Ok coming back to time, lets see what gurgaon actually is...
Gurgaon has emerged as the hub of IT and other new-age businesses. It is home to offices of several MNCs.
A number of BPO and KPO firms such as Keane, Genpact, IBM, Evalueserve, Dell, British Telecom, Accenture, eSCL Global, Hewitt Associates and Convergys have Gurgaon as their regional operations hub.
India currently has 16 airlines, out of which IndiGo Airlines, Spice Jet and MDLR Airlines have their headquarters in Gurgaon.
Several auto-manufacturing facilities exist including India's largest passenger car company, Maruti Suzuki, and largest motorcycle company, Hero Honda, are based in Gurgaon.
Gurgaon currently has 2, 18 hole golf course, being the biggest in the nation!

Gurgaon is also known as the "Mall Capital Of India", because it has the largest number of malls. The Biggest Mall of India - "Ambience Mall" is also located in Gurgaon, While the Biggest Mall Of India - "Mall Of India" is under construction.
Gurgaon is well connected with Delhi and other neighbouring cities via road, railways etc! The metro rail connecting Gurgaon and Delhi is expected to be completed by 2010. The 32 lane toll gate at National Highway 8(Gurgaon-Delhi Border) is the largest in Asia and third largest in the World.
Gurgaon also has the biggest Audi, BMW showrooms! Name the brand and you will find it here!

Gurgaon is expected to be the next Health City of India.
Gurgaon has a literacy rate of over 77%(2001 Census).
Also to add to all this, Gurgaon has loads of 5 star hotels, discs and pubs! Some of them are the best in India.
Whats more?
- The Formula One team Force India owned by industrialist, Vijay Mallya also has plans to make a practice circuit in Gurgaon, Near 32nd Milestone.
- There are also plans to extend the number of teams in IPL. That might give a chance for Gurgaon to have its own team.
- By 2010, the state government hopes to complete a world class Golden Triangle City Centre (GTCC) with as many as four tallest buildings in the world. Each of the proposed skyscrapers will be of 140 floors, taller than Taipei 101 which currently is the highest manmade structure on the planet.
- Gurgaon soon will also have its own metro, monorail!

I still wonder why people call it a "Gaon"...!
